About Me

Hello! I am Daniel Oluwafemi Olofin, a graduate student in Mathematical Sciences (Statistics concentration) at Georgia Southern University, USA.

My academic and research interests lie at the intersection of biostatistics, machine learning, and computational biology, with a strong focus on applications in clinical research, oncology, and drug development. I am particularly interested in how statistical and AI-driven methods can be used to improve clinical decision-making, personalized medicine, and healthcare outcomes.

Academic Focus

My current training emphasizes:

  • Biostatistical theory and applied statistical modeling
  • Computational biology and data-driven healthcare systems
  • Machine learning methods for clinical and biomedical data
  • Statistical applications in oncology and drug discovery

Through coursework and research, I aim to bridge statistical methodology with real-world healthcare problems, particularly in cancer research and precision medicine.

Research Interests

  • Statistical machine learning in healthcare
  • Cancer genomics and oncology data modeling
  • Survival analysis and clinical trial methodology
  • AI applications in drug discovery and biomarker identification
  • High-dimensional and longitudinal biomedical data analysis

Hobbies & Interests

Outside academia, I enjoy reading research papers, solving statistical problems, playing guitar, listening to music, and playing video games such as Mortal Kombat as a way to relax and recharge.
